

tongue cancer. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Ivy (Deadman); he is survived by his son, Michael, and daughter, Dana, and four grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents John and Josephine. John will be lovingly missed by his favourite inlaws: Bill Morton (the late Ruth) of Stoney Creek, Muriel and John Nagy (Hamilton), Marilyn Smith (the late Ken) of Cayuga, Sue and Rick MacAulay (Burlington), and Earl Walker (Woodstock). He will also be sadly missed by cousins, Lucy Marko and Bernice Pietak. John was a talented artist and had owned a graphic arts business, Superior Screens Limited. John had been involved with the Grono Mlodziezy and the Polonez Dance Group for many years. He always enjoyed listening to his Polish music, right to the very end, and was proud of his "Red and White" heritage. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday, January 4th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. and Sunday, January 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church, 232 Queenston Road (at Parkdale Avenue) on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to CNIB or Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be appreciated.
