Passed away peacefully at his home, on Saturday, June 4, 2011 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his father Maxym, wife Maria and daughter Anne Flis. Father to Peter Kwashka (Vickie). Grandfather to Alexandra, Laura, Ellen and Sarah and Amanda Flis. Survived by one brother and sisters in the Ukraine. Family will receive friends at the TRUSCOTT, BROWN AND DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (opposite Gage Park, at the delta) on Tuesday, June 7th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service to be held at the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Vladimir’s Church, 855 Barton Street East on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
