It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joe (Josip), surrounded by his family, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Emily (Millie) for 56 years. Loving father of Cathy Pickering (Greg) and Kevin Sutlic (Sarah). Cherished grampa of Stephanie and David. Dear brother of Darinka Grašak , Marko (Janice), Mate (Agnes) and Miko (Ernesta). Josip will be sadly missed by Sophie, Danny, nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Special thanks to the staff of 8 South for their care. Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday from 6-9 pm with Rosary at 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 9 am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Donations in Josip’s memory may be made to Svetog Mavra (Bosiljevo) or a charity of your choice.
