Josip Rak

Passed away suddenly at the Juravinski Hospital on January 6, 2015 in his 71st year. Born May 2, 1944 in Draganic Croatia and now reunited with his beloved parents Tomo and Dragica. Loving brother of Franca Domjancic (the late Josip). Beloved uncle of Nada Poklecki (Ivica). Cherished great uncle of Johnny, Joey and Tommy Poklecki. Dear cousin of Ivica Domjancic, Marica Gojsic, Mijo Domjancic, Mijo Rak and their families in Croatia. Dear Kume of Mijo Domjancic and family. Predeceased by cousins Josip Jazvac and Barica Dren. Josip will forever live on in the hearts of his extended family and friends in Croatia and Canada. A dedicated and hard working man retiring after 32 years of service at Dofasco. A long time member of the Cultural Club Draganic. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Vigil prayers on Friday at 7:15pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East on Saturday, January 10, 2014 at 9am. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow. Donations to a charity close to your own heart would be greatly appreciated.
