Kathleen Fillmore

July 24, 1927 - July 28, 2011

Passed away peacefully at Wentworth Lodge after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers Disease. She will be missed greatly by her husband Roy, her three daughters Susan (Joe) Castiglione, Brenda Paraszczuk, and Arlene (Claude) Laframboise. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren Tara (Joey), Michael, Sherelle, Rachel, Alexis, and Christopher. Loving sister to Gerald (Peggy) Edge, and Bob (Margaret) Edge, and sisters-in-law Shirley Teeters, Burt Fillmore, and Barb and Howard Holt. Predeceased by sisters Pat Crooks, Betty Walker, and Lorraine Stewart. Kay was a remarkable wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and soon to be great-grandmother. Kay had the amazing ability to put a smile on anyone’s face and was always providing her loving support over a hot cup of tea and cookies. We would like to thank the wonderful staff of Wentworth Lodge, Rose Court, for the great care and support provided to Mom over the years. The family will receive guests at Marlatt Funeral Home on Sunday, July 31 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, August 1 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), Hamilton on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington.
