It is with great sadness we announce Dad passed away at Juravinski Hospital, on Monday, November 14, 2011. Dad passed peacefully in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Stefania (2002). Cherished and much appreciated Father to Lucy Lockhart (Kim), and Tony. Much loved Dziadzia to Hannah and Roddy. Predeceased by his parents, Wlojtek and Antonina Podziemski, brother Wladek, sister Wladja in Poland. Also survived by his cousin Mary Michalak, and other relatives scattered both in Canada and in Poland. Dad, known to many as “Kaz” or “Kasey” will be sadly missed by family, friends and neighbours. A special thank-you to all the nurses from St. Joseph’s Home Care who helped care for Dad earlier this year. Another special thank-you to all the nurses at the Juravinski Hospital on 3E. Thank-you to Dr. Misera, Dr. Oren Levine, Dr. Pamela Kapend, and all the doctors on Dad’s medical team. Your kindness to Dad and his family was greatly appreciated. If it was feasible to work with angel wings, you would all have them for everyone to see. Visitation will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL 1309 King Street East (at the Delta, opposite Gage Park) 905-549-2417 on Wednesday, November 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Stanislaus Polish Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Juravinski Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
