Kowalik, Leon – Peacefully passed away in his sleep on Saturday October 20,2012 at the age of 93. Beloved and devoted husband of Mary for more than 66 years. Loving father of Rick (Lorna) Kowalik and grandfather to Christine of Sherwood Park Alberta. Reunited with his dear daughter Helen Devins (2003) and his 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Will be lovingly remembered by son-in-law Harv (Rose) Devins of Hamilton, many nieces and nephews in Poland. A long time member of the Polish Seniors Club, and Holy Name Society. Leon will be missed by the many neighbours of Sherwood Heights. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful and caring staff of the Hamilton General Hospital. Friends and family are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers Wednesday at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Church on Thursday October 25, 2012 at 9:30am. Entombment in Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow.
