With sadness we announce the passing of Linda at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Warren. Loving mother of Vanessa Nie and Candace Waters and her husband Nick Thompson. Cherished Baba of Joe and Ella, and son in law Martin.

Throughout her life Linda prioritized her family above all else. She took great joy in the many memories she made over the years with her friends and extended family. She enjoyed her garden, spending time outdoors, and volunteering where she could, always eager to help others.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or any charity close to your own heart.

My daughter Melissa told me that one day, your mom, grandma had
wrote a cheque for a “ pullover” , so that your dad ,Warren wouldn’t find out about a ticket she got...
She had a wonderful sense of humour, always a few good jokes to
tell, fun to be with..
We will miss her..
Deepest sympathies to the family...

Aunt Linda was always so upbeat and fun! I’ll never forget the story she told me about writing a cheque for a “Pullover”( as in the type you wear) so that it didn’t look like it was for an actual PULL OVER (as the the one for speeding) ... whether this was a joke or real??... still makes me smile when I think about it!! She was such a great lady!!!

Candace, Vanessa, Ella, Joe .... may you always feel the spirit and love of your Mom and Grandmother....
Many fond memories and laughter shared .....love the story where Linda got her eyebrows tattooed and had Polysporin smeared on them and she went to bed early and laid in the dark so your Dad would not see them ....lol ..
She would often visit Mom ..Aunt Mary ...and bring a loaf of rye bread and a chunk of kielbasa ...and we would have several afternoon hours of laughter
May she be blessed and reunited with all those who have gone before her
