Luciana Fontana

FONTANA, Luciana (nee Bagliolid) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved mother, wife and nonna, Luciana Fontana at the age of 63 on August 29, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her family. Luciana fought a courageous battle with cancer over the past 13 months. Beloved wife of Rino. Devoted and loving mother of Nancy Grieve (Colin) and Sandra Maragno (Martin). Wonderful and caring Nonna to her grandchildren Connor, Lauren and Nicholas. Dear sister of Claudio (Maria), Wanda (the late Romeo), and best friend of Raffaela. Remembered by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Luciana will be missed by all her family members and friends both in Canada and Italy. Luciana taught us unconditional love and had a tremendous loyalty to her family. She was a hard worker with gifted hands that could cook or sew anything. Luciana will remain forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth), on September 1, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Rosary Wednesday at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's Church, 165 Prospect N. on September 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Soul's Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
