It is with heavy hearts that we announce Lucie’s passing on Monday, March 28, 2011 in her 82nd year. Most precious and much loved mother of Gilmonde (Larry) Schweitzer, Rosemonde (Jim) Carter, Muriel (Joe) Malcolmson, Alex Mallais, Vernon Mallais and the late Joann (Mike) Lopez. Very special Memere of James (Lisa) Carter, Kerri Anne (Chris) Carter, the late Tamara Lynn Carter, Sherri Lynn (Rob) Lopez, Amanda (Brian) Malcolmson, Kim (Kevin) Schweitzer, John (Ashley) Mallais, Leigh Anne (Paul) Matecki, Steven (Megan) Schweitzer and Michael (Kelly) Lopez. Most precious Grand-Memere of Micheal, Joshua, Elizabeth, Ashley, Hayden, Malcolm, Ryleigh, Jackson, Mekayla, Chelsea and Andrew. Admired sister of Omer (Imelda) Benoit, Vitaline (Roger) Gagnon. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Elit and the dedicated Oncology team from the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Dr. Kwok and especially the dedicated VON nurses. Resting at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St E. (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Donations to the VON or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
