Lydia Angela Pesola

Beloved and devoted wife of Victor (deceased 2014) for over 57 years. Loving mother of Stephen (Karen) and Carolynn (Graham Reid). Very proud and loving grandmother of Natalie (Tyler Otterspoor) and Michael (Xandria D’Silva) and great-grandmother to our precious Harper Jean.

Lydia (Lil) is predeceased by her parents Charles and Victoria Schiavon and her brother Romano and sister Theresa. She is survived by her brother Frank Pasian and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, USA, the Netherlands and northern Italy.

Lil was a proud employee of Primrose Property Management for over 30 years where she met what would become true livelong friends. She was also very thankful for her special relationship with the Repchuck family for over 70 years. One of mom’s greatest accomplishments was in 1993, becoming a Life Master with the American Contract Bridge League. If mom wasn’t playing bridge, she was spending time with her family, playing thirty-one with her grandchildren and cooking and sharing her techniques with Natalie. Together with our dad, they spent many years travelling and enjoying their Florida home entertaining often and welcoming and spoiling their family annually.

As per the family’s wishes, a private funeral mass has taken place. Lil’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St Joseph’s Villa in Dundas and in particular the Cedar Grove 3rd floor team. We are forever grateful for your compassion and care towards our mom.
