Marion Harris

It is with profound sadness that the family announces Marion's peaceful passing on Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton, following a valiant battle with Cancer. Beloved wife of the late John Harris (1998), and dear companion of Robert (Bob) McGowan (2008), Marion is survived by her cherished partner and faithful caregiver Michael Watt, and by loving sons Jeff (Karen), Ron (Carolyn), Cliff (Sharon) and treasured grandchildren Scott, David, Erin, Lauryn and Cara. Marion was predeceased by her brothers Archie, Ricky and Billy of Scotland, and will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law Margaret Thom and Ella (husband Colin) Blake. Her many friends will fondly remember Marion, a long-time member of the Hamilton Tartan Club, and more recently of the community of Garth Trails, as a naturally gifted singer and a beautiful dancer. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Bev and all of the incredibly compassionate staff on the palliative care unit at St. Peters. Donations to that unit in memory of Marion will be greatly appreciated. Please note that in keeping with Marion's wishes, cremation, a private service and ennichement have already taken place. Services have been entrusted to CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME-FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton.
