Marko Simatovic

Loving father of Mark Simatovic and Marina Jarrett (Kevin). Cherished Dida of Dominic, Kristian, Leo and Stella. Predeceased by his parents Mate and Marija and his siblings Joso (Anita), Ivan, Pave (Ana) and Mate. Dear brother of Mile of Croatia, Pere (Mary), Mande (Grga) and Kate (the late Martin). Marko will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Marko had a great love of nature and enjoyed his time outdoors with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing bocce and his coffee time with friends and family. For those who knew Marko know he was a simple man, selfless and willing to lend a hand. His greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, who will miss him immensely. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the countless memories of his gentle nature. May we honour his life by carrying forward the love he so generously gave. Rest in peace, dear Tata- you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Visitation at Markey-Dermody, 1774 King Street East, on Sunday, September 15 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
