Matthew James Kairys

He meant so much to so many people, a beloved son to Edward (Jackie) and Oksana Kairys. He was a loving father to Grayson and he had a special place in his heart for Landon, a loving brother to Alexa, Emma, Adalena (Nicole), and Austin, a cherished nephew to Vita Kairys, a special cousin to Nathan and Gabrielle, and a much-loved uncle to Theseus. He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, and colleagues.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Vytautas and Eugenija Kairys (Duki and Butę) and Daniel and Olexandra Pysch (Baba and Dido).

Matthew was born in Burlington, Ontario. Matthew loved helping everyone and always went out of his way to help.

He had an incredibly kind soul. He loved working on anything mechanical and enjoyed working on his truck and bike.

Matthew’s best friend was his dog Shiloh … he took her everywhere he loved her so much.

The family wishes to thank Sandy, Teta Gražina, Teta Donna and Marijus for helping in the planning. We are so thankful and grateful for the love and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton on Sunday, May 5th from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Marlatt Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 9:45 am. The burial will follow at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, 2185 Stavebank Road, Mississauga.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Ukrainian Relief Fund or the Lithuanian Children’s Relief Fund would be appreciated by Matthew’s family.
