

Entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Arbour Creek Long Term Care Centre in his 94th year. Mo returned from Dieppe to marry his childhood sweetheart, the late Phyllis Perryman (d. 1982) in 1946. They were blessed with three daughters, Gail, Joan and Janet. In 1986, Mo was again blessed when he married Jean Bowler (d. 2006). Her three sons, Ken (Judy), Kevin (Priscilla) and Tom (Nancy) and their families became his family as well. Mo is also survived by his brother Albert (Joanne) and sister Bev Farnsworth (Ed, deceased), sisters-in-law Hazel Kneebone (Albert), Merle Lawson (Howie, deceased), Jean Lawson (Joe, deceased) and Sharon Lawson (Fred, deceased), brother-in-law Jack Perry man (Clare) and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren in the Lawson, Perryman, Bowler and Kneebone clans. Mo served with B Company of the RHLI and was captured at Dieppe, spending the remainder of the war as a POW. Following his release from the army, he joined Dofasco as a millwright and worked there for 40 years, until his retirement in 1986. He was active at Elliott Heights Baptist Church and found great comfort through his strong faith. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held June 27, 2015 at Elliott Heights Baptist Church, 1300 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, beginning at 3:00 p.m., with visitation at 2:30. Donations may be made to Elliott Heights Baptist Church, the Juravinski Cancer Centre, or a charity of your choice.
