After battling cancer for several years, Melanie passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2018. She will be missed immensely by her husband William, and their children Anne (Brad), and Adrian. Daughter of Eleanor and the late Jack Furlong. She will be missed by her mother in law Donna Fowler (the late James Fowler), and her brother in law Robert (Louise) Fowler. Beloved sister to Roxanne, Gwen (Rick), and Noreen (Mike), and the late John Stairs. Melanie will be missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and especially Leroy and Bruiser. Once an angel on earth, now an angel in heaven, the beloved Melanie Fowler gave nothing but love and warmth and everything she had to those she knew. She was strong, selfless, never complained and always turned any negative into a positive. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 11am at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton.
