Peacefully, surrounded by her children on April 24th, 2012 at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of the late Gerry (1998). Loving mom to Gayle Hamilton (the late Jack), Carol Riseing (Oral), Steven (Monica) and Donald. Cherished Memere to Paul, Samantha and Callie. Predeceased by her sisters Bessie and Lee. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Mona was a long-time employee with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board until retiring in 1998. A special thanks to the staff at the Willowgrove and Juravinski for their care and support.
Her family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 20 Idlewood on Friday April 27th at 10 a.m. followed by cremation. In keeping with Mona's wishes, the family request guests not wear black. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated.
