On May 5, 2024, Murray Wayne Lowe of Dunnville ON, formerly of Aylesford NS, passed away. I had the privilege of being with my father as he took his last breath. I fulfilled his wish to stay at home as he went peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was the son of the late Theodore Egbert Lowe and Phyllis Irene Lowe. Brother to the late Rosemary Joyce Lowe of Aylesford, NS.
Murray is survived by his wife Maria Dokter Lowe of Dunnville, ON. Daughters, Brenda Lowe (Hilton/Lutz) of Lake Paul, Aylesford, NS. and Irene Marie Lowe of Windsor, NS. Brothers, Lawrence (Frances) Lowe of Aylesford, NS., Russell Lowe of Hamilton ON., James Lowe, Robert Lowe, John Lowe of Millville, NS. Sister, Muriel Lutz (Dennis) of Morristown, NS. Grandsons, Travis Jennings of Bedford, NS., Shane Lowe of Alberta. Grandaughters, Desiree Jennings of Berwick, NS., Nicole Sandford of Windsor, NS. 5 great grand-children and many nieces and nephews.
My father wore many hats in his life, from farming to owning his own business. He later worked for the Christian School and later would become an Ordained Minister. He loved ministering to the street kids in Hamilton.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and anything to do with nature.
He was a child of the Lord, and people who knew him, knew he had the gift of spreading the Gospel. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by all.
Celebration of Life will be held in Nova Scotia at a later date.
Special thanks to all the nursing staff and The Dunnville Free Methodist Church for all their help and support. My father was truly blessed to have been surrounded by so many wonderful people.
Donations can be made to the Friends of Israel (foi.org) or the Dunnville Free Methodist Church (dunnville.church). Arrangements entrusted with Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street, East, Hamilton.
