

Predeceased by his loving wife Paulina (Paraska Mamczuk, 2013). Cherished Tato of Mike and Agi; Roman and Sandy; and Cathy and her husband Stephen Lechniak. Dido will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Matthew (Kylie); Candace, Nicholas (Teresa), Andrew (Kelsey); Stephanie (Scott), Michael; and his great-grandchildren Oaklyn, Harmony, Sage; Ewan, Lochlan; and Bailey. Born in the village of Putiatynci, Rohatyn in Ukraine. Mykola is predeceased by his parents Anna (nee Marchowskyj) and Joseph Witkowskyj and his brothers and sisters Kateryna, Marushka, Stefan and Mychajlo. Mykola will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. Mykola’s strong work ethic and determination in providing for his family began with his arrival in Canada in 1949 which led him to his first job in Hamilton, Ontario as a dishwasher and then on to Finlay Fish where he became a professional in the technique of filleting fish. Life then led Mykola to new employment at Dofasco in 1956 where he remained as a foreman in the blast furnaces until his retirement in 1989. Mykola kept active in sports, being recognized as a trophy-winning soccer player. Mykola enjoyed travelling with his family and going on overnight fishing trips on his days off. A private family funeral has been held. In honouring the memory of Mykola(Nick), please live each day being kind to one another.
