Norman Archibald Crawford

Norm was the much loved husband of Elizabeth Bond (Johnston) and the late Gwyndolyn (Page). Loving father of Terry and Brenda Crawford and proud grandpa of Jason Crawford and Jennifer Crawford. He will be sadly missed by Marg (Bond) and the late Tom Dyment, David and Roberta Bond, their children Clifton, Quinleigh, Micah, Chloe, Tristan, the late Zoe, Georgie and Tavian. Norm was born in Belmont, the third child of Archie and Dorothy (Ross) Crawford, both deceased. Predeceased by his siblings; George, Margaret, and Harry. Norn enjoyed a long and varied career, beginning as an electrician in Aylmer, then as a secondary school teacher in Winchester, Cayuga and Toronto and also as a teacher at Mohawk, Brock and Centennial Colleges. Norm also spent some time as Training Officer for the Trades at Stelco Nanticoke and Ford. Always interested in municipal politics, Norm, at various times served as a school trustee, member of town council and was the last Deputy Reeve in Hagersville, before Regional Government. In Hagersville Norm, as Director of Recreation, organized and ran Minor Hockey, Ringette, Swimming Camps and was instrumental in getting a new community pool. Visitation at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service from the Chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. Special thanks to the staff of Alexander Place, who treated Norm with so much kindness over the past three years.
