

Passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Alexander (2016).
Loving mother of Gail (Richard) Theaker, Judy Anne (Brian) Graham and Jerry. Cherished Grandma of Shannon (Shane), Sarah (Jesse), Callum, Jordan and Tyler and great-grandma to Charlotte. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Nellie Evancio, and is reunited with her 11 siblings: Katie, William, Alex, John, Anne, Peter, Mary, Steve, Rose, Helen and Irene.
She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Born in Goodeve, Saskatchewan, and moved to Hamilton in the early 1950s. At the age of 50, Olga began to work at what she said, “Was the best job ever”, the Hamilton Public Central Library, and was there for 25 years. She was a loyal Tiger Cat fan and never missed watching a game. She was known for cooking amazing Ukrainian food, especially her pyrohy, cinnamon buns and her special rice.
Special thank you to the staff at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke for their exemplary care, kindness and support. A warm and heartfelt thank you, as well, to the Residents of Birch Terrace. Your friendship was very special to our mother. Lastly, thank you to St. Joseph’s ER medical staff for their kind compassion at such a difficult time.
