Paul Douglas Chapman

1953-2026

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Paul Chapman on the morning of February 18, 2026. For over 30 years, Paul was a dedicated pressman at The Hamilton Spectator. Who, in his free time, enjoyed sitting in the garage playing scratch tickets, travelling, and helping his friends with outdoor projects. Most importantly, Paul was a loving family man and it gives us comfort knowing that Paul is now reunited with his loving wife Cheryl, whom he was married to for 51 years, and his cherished son Chad. Paul was a devoted father to Mike (Sue), proud grandfather to Connor, who he will be missed by, along with his siblings, Tommy (Sharon), Cheryl (Randy), Nancy (Gerry), Donny (Lynn), as well as his extended family and friends. Paul had a special love for his loyal companion and four legged sidekick, Kai.

We would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to the paramedics, firefighters and police for their endless efforts and support.
