Uncle Paul was the consumate kind, easy going, and wonderfully considerate member of the family.  At any time, his calm and generous way of being comfortable with us neices and nephews made easy our growing up years. Your Dad's interest in our lives, even in the brief conversations at family events, made a large difference in how we felt about ourselves and family. Uncle Paul stood tall among the Aunts and Uncles, not necessarily routinely being the most outgoing, yet as some say his steady way made for marvelously good feelings about him and ourselves. His and your mother's love for each other is a remarkably worthy example to us as for you also. Mayhe rest in peace in the arms of Aunt Marianne. May you also have peace in knowing he loved each of you and will always.

I'm so sad to hear of Uncle Paul's passing. 
Uncle Paul was such a great presence in my younger days growing up; not only an Uncle, but a coach and a friend and mentor. Again,  so many great memories from the days at Alexander Park, family picnics and the amazing Christmas parties at your home on Riffle Range, and the poker games with all the Uncles together at my parents home. Memories that I'll never forget.

Our deepest sympathy on  the loss of a wonderful man.  We will always remember his warmth and kindness. Thinking of you Stephanie and all the family during this difficult time.

Dan, I am so sorry for your loss!  It was so nice to see your father a few months ago. He was so sharp when I spoke with him and he had such a great sense of humour!

He leaves behind an amazing family that will continue to grow.  You are all his legacy.

Dear Stephanie & Pete, Dan & Keiko,

Your dad, uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a true friend to many others is remembered with much love and fondness.  Although we started out with an uncle and nephew relationship, this grew into much more. We worked along side one other for many years, and this developed into a great friendship, with lots of proud, and some rather fun accomplishments.   In our time together with Frid, our shared name was somewhat confusing within the firm.  Some determined it was best to refer to us as Big Paul and Little Paul, which neither of us considered very complimentary and so in turn, we suggested that your dad remain as Paul, while I adopted the PJ moniker. This stuck for all our years together at Frid. On the personal side however since we shared the same name and both resided on Rifle Range, this often created some confusion with mail delivery, and yes, even our prescriptions out of the Shoppers at Dundas Plaza. I think we always checked our meds and mail to avoid mix-ups, but one can’t be sure we weren’t under some kind of law enforcement surveillance and scrutiny as we openly slipped drugs back and forth and exchanged envelopes with one another.  Your dad’s calm, slow and steady demeanor has always been very impressive, admired, and very fondly reminisced about. Uncle Paul was a dear uncle and friend to us, and these memories will be with us always.
