Peggy Marie Flaherty

With shattered hearts and profound grief, we share the unimaginable news of the passing of Peggy Flaherty, who left this world far too soon on June 6, 2025, at the age of 65. Peggy was so much more than a daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend — she was the soul of our family, the light in our lives, and a constant source of love, laughter, and comfort.

Born on May 2, 1960, Peggy was the beloved daughter of Doris and John Flaherty (both predeceased). She shared a deep, unbreakable bond with her siblings Debbie (Gary), Sean (Lisa), and David (deceased). Also known as “Aunt Peggy” to many, she poured her heart into her relationships with her nieces and nephews — Katie (Todd), Kyle (Tammy), Tyler, and Nicola — and especially with her great-nieces and nephews: Grady, Everleigh, Emersyn, Easton, and Havanna. They were her pride, her joy, her sunshine.

Peggy had the rarest gift — she made people feel safe, seen, and cherished just by being near them. Her laugh, so full and warm, could lift any mood. Her heart knew no limits. She gave and gave, and then somehow gave more. Whether with her time, her attention, or her unwavering support, Peggy showed up — always. She was the one you called, the one you counted on, the one who made life softer.

The emptiness she leaves behind is impossible to put into words. Peggy didn’t need trophies or titles — her legacy is etched in love, in the lives she touched, in the memories she made just by being exactly who she was. She was unapologetically herself — joyful, fierce, compassionate.

Our deepest thanks go to the staff and physicians at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Your care, compassion, and tenderness in her final days brought us great comfort and meant more than words can express.
