Maria and Diana whom he was so very proud of. Beloved brother to Gaetano Malatesta (Carmela), Carmina Malatesta, Teresa Rico (Paolo), Vittoria Priolo (Salvatore), Appolonia Prioriello (Antonio), and
Assunta Venditti (Nicola). Dear brother-in-law of Anna Paiano (Antonio), Eleonora (the late Vincenzo Malatesta), and Antonietta Prioriello (Carmine). Raffaele will be missed by many nieces and nephews in
Canada, Italy and France. Raffaele arrived in Canada in 1953 and worked hard in the construction industry. In 1956, he and his brother Gaetano established their own company in which Raffaele remained an active home builder to the end. His unfaltering faith carried him through many rough times. He will be forever remembered and loved by all, for his pride in family and eternal faith. His determination and hard work ethics will live on. Raffaele, you leave big shoes to fill. Visitation will be held at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth Ave.) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Friday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Eugene's Church (232 Queenston Rd. at Parkdale Ave. S.) on Saturday at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
