ZAVITZ, Robert (Bob) Leslie "Bullet" October 26, 1938 - August 2, 2015 With great sadness we announce Bob's passing, at home, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Jeanette (Mierzwiak) for over 50 years, caring and generous father of Brian (Sue) and Kevin (Kim). He will be greatly missed by grandchildren Kara, Jack and Emma. He is predeceased by parents LeRoy and Ivy (Smart) and sister Barbara Grover (Harry). He will be fondly remembered by sister Beverly Hildebrand (Doug) and sister-in-law Stella Hesketh. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. To Dr. Goffin, the medical and support staff and volunteers at Juravinski Cancer Clinic and Hospital, to the pharmacists and assistants at Shoppers, Harvard Square, to Dr. Ayibiowu and staff, to the CCAC, Bayshore nurses and St. Elizabeth support workers - thank you all for your care and support. Visitation will be at Crestmount Funeral Home, 1020 Upper James St. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. As per Bob's wishes, there will be no service and interment will be immediate family only.
