Ronald Duncan Cowan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ron Cowan. Predeceased by his parents, Louise and Duncan, he is survived by his son, Randy (Sherri); daughter Rebecca (Debbie), grandchildren Duncan and Libby Carte, Chloe and Abby Cowan, sister Sharon May (Ken) and nieces Caroline and Sue. Special thanks to his cousin, Bob Detlor, for the care, support and kindness that you gave to dad over the years. Dad drove the last horse drawn milk truck in Niagara Falls, before starting his legendary career in car sales. He was a longtime member of the Niagara Falls Kinsmen Club and the Niagara Falls Boat Club, where he volunteered to organize many epic fundraising and social events. Dad’s love of people and parties, along with his gift of gab earned him many wonderful friendships over the years. We have no doubt that those who went before him, were waiting for him with a bottle of crown in hand. Thanks to Dave Dione, Fred and Ilona Geisler, Charlie and Lisa Burland and the entire crew at Strada West for their friendship and care, especially over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) 555 Concession Street West, Hamilton, ON L8V 1A8. In honour of dad’s wishes, we will celebrate his life with family and friends at Strada West, when we are able to do so (date to be determined).
