Ronald "Ron" Leroy Harding

It is with deep sadness, we announce that our treasured husband, father and grandfather went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the age of 91. Beloved husband for 64 years to Sandra (nee Bowen). Cherished Dad to Rhonda (Bob) Cartmel and Sheila Harris. Proud and loving Grandpa to Samantha (James) Mitton and Zack (Claire) Cartmel. Great-grandfather of Merritt, Bowen, Colin, and Elouise. Much loved brother of Joan (George) Shuttleworth and Norma (Ron) Peraziana. Will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Sharon (Jerry) Martin and brothers-in-law Wayne (Ellen) Bowen and Paul Bowen. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Valeria Harding and his brothers-in-law Garry Bowen and Peter Greenhow.

Ron retired after 40 years with Canadian Drawn Steel and was a loyal Ti-Cats fan. He was active at Westside Baptist Church for many years serving as a Deacon and treasurer and most recently was a faithful member of West Highland Baptist Church.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at West Highland Baptist Church, 1605 Garth Street, Hamilton on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for the kind, compassionate care they provided to Ron during his stay there.
