Ruth Peet

Ruth is survived by Robert, her husband of sixty years and their three children - Rob (Carm), Chris (Ellen) and Mark (Karen). Ruth was a proud grandmother to Matthew, Adam, Christine, Michael, Mikaela and Alex.

Ruth was predeceased by her mother and father, Bertha and Harold Crabbe, her brothers Greg and Buddy. Ruth is survived by her youngest brother Paul and sisters-in-law, Theresa, Helen, Kay, Darlene.

Ruth was very proud of her nieces Karen (Karen) and Kathy, Amanda, Sarah and her nephews Dan (Andrea) and Matthew.

Ruth will be missed by her many golf, curling and lawn bowling friends and especially her best friend, Elsie Biegler.

Ruth was a graduate of the Sisters of St. Joseph Nursing program. Ruth worked in all facets of the health care system but devoted most of her career to senior and palliative care where she served as the Director of Care for a large nursing home facility. Donations to the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated by the family.

Visitation will take place at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. E. on Friday, October 13th, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm with Rosary at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, October 14th, at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 128 Edgemont St. S. at 10:00am.
