Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday October 26, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Racalmuto, Sicily on February 18, 1935, to Calogero and Giuseppina Vizzini. Predeceased by siblings Diego Vizzini (Anna), Giuseppe Vizzini, Vincenzo Vizzini (Pina), Carmela Cino, and Salvatrice Puglisi (Giovanni). He immigrated into Canada in 1955 via Halifax, Nova Scotia with his fiancée Maria Vizzini (Giglia) and both were married later that year on September 3rd. Salvatore was the proud father of Josephine Vizzini, Charles Vizzini (Carol), and Salvatore Jr. Vizzini, as well as loving nonno of Gabrielle Vizzini (Wesley).
His favourite pastime was gardening in his backyard every year and later sharing the fruits of his labor with family, friends, and neighbours. He delighted in making others smile and took great pleasure in watching his family grow. He cherished each and every moment with his family and his sacrificial love knew no bounds.
He will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
