It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of our precious Santa, with her family by her side, on November 29, 2011 in her 74th year. Survived by her beloved husband Vincenzo, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years, children Anna and Otto (Geiss), Dana and Jim (Seferiades), Sandra and Steve (Zarcone), Rosie and Jason (Bryant) and Cristina and Vince (Silvestri). Proud Nonna of Jessica and Santino (Geiss), Alex and Mark (Seferiades), Bianca and Lia (Zarcone), Noah (Bryant) and Jacob and John Paul (Silvestri). Also survived by her mother Albina (Rosa), brothers Tony and Fernando of Hamilton and Alfonso of Italy. Predeceased by her father Silvio with whom she has now joyously reunited and walks arm-in-arm in the hills and valleys of the Lord. Santa was a warm, caring and spiritual woman and is described by those who knew her as “unforgettable”. She had a calm approach, sunny disposition, and saw the good in everyone. She was a great cook and baker and had a love and knowledge for nature that could not be matched. She had a profound impact on everyone she met and she will live on through each one of us. She will forever be in our hearts. There is no good-bye: It’s until we meet again.... A special thank you to the staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice (Stonechurch Road, Hamilton) for their compassion and care. Donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Family and friends will be received at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue E., on Thursday and Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1694 Upper James Street, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
