It is with deepest sorrow we the Marini children announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and friend on June 21, 2015 at the age of 72. Surrounded by love, mom succumbed to her illness with bravery and dignity. Although we are devastated at the swiftness of her passing, we are thankful she is at peace. Predeceased by her husband of 52 years Angelo. Lovingly received into the arms of her mother Vera (May 1, 1944). Proud and cherished mother of David and Susan, Michael and Sheena, Angela and Wayne, Lori and Rob, Teresa, Mark and Joann. One of a kind, fun loving grandma to her courageous angels David (Victoria), Zachary (Ashley), Allan, Cristian, Riley, Joshua, Alexander, Gabriel, Tytus, Sebastian and Luca. Her heart held a special place for each of her grandsons, never missing a moment to celebrate them in her unique way. They will miss her bear hugs, bowties and banana bread. She leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially from the days at Robinson's and The Bay. Sharon will also be sadly missed by her dear friends at Long Point, our parents home away from home. In the words of our mother, "I am not afraid to die, I just don't know how I will ever say goodbye to you kids." Mom, no worries. We do not need to say goodbye, we will be together again. Until then, enjoy your journey on this first day of summer and thank you for being the best Father's Day gift we ever gave to dad. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Thursday, June 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 50 Brucedale Ave. E., on June 26th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sharon may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the S.P.C.A.
