Silvana Zucco

She will be deeply missed by her children, Massimo and Nancy, and by the many family members and friends whose lives she touched from near and far. We take comfort in knowing she has reached the gates of heaven, welcomed by those she loved so dearly—especially her husband, Rocco, whom she missed for so many years, and her loyal fur buddy, Jager.

Silvana will be remembered for her remarkable strength, her humor, her no-BS attitude and honesty and her endless positivity. Her incredible cooking and baking were legendary — heaven is surely already lining up for her famous stuffed olives and pizzelles.

Our deepest gratitude goes out to every doctor, nurse, and support staff who cared for her. Your compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Parish, 200 Mount Albion Road, Hamilton on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada.
