Peacefully, at Emmanuel House, on November 17, 2014 at the age of 83. Reunited with her beloved and devoted husband of 56 years Conrad (2006). Her strength until the end proved how much she loved each and every one of her nine children: Noella (Denis), Giselle (Allan), Dorice (Christine), Maurice (LaGaylia), Carmen (Gerard), Anne-Marie, Rita (Denis), Diane (Paul) and Denise (Randy). She was the best "Mémère" to her 17 grandchildren and their spouses, her 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Predeceased by her infant daughter Yvonne Ginette. Madame to the many school children she met after years as a crossing guard at Ecole elementaire Notre-Dame. Born and raised in Edmundston, New Brunswick. A hero to many and a friend to all, She will be so dearly missed by her sisters Therese Morin, Camilla Perreault, brother Mike Martin and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Family and friends will be received at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass to be held at Paroisse Notre Dame, 243 Cumberland Ave., Hamilton, on Thursday, November 20,2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Emmanuel House (Good Shepherd) would be greatly appreciated.
