Slavko "Stan" Rozich

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Slavko at the Juravinski Hospital on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Rahija) for 52 years. Loving father of Susan Brinkmann (Terri) and John Rozich (Samantha). Cherished Dida of Lucas, Benjamin, Jordan, Sasha, Joshua and Jacob. Dear brother of Josip (the late Josipa) and Drago (Nada). Brother-in-law of Danica, Ana Rahija, Marica Petronic (Darko) and Kathy Glober (Saul). Predeceased by his brothers Janko (Franca), Steve, brother-in-law Miko Rahija and sister-in-law Ljubica Petronic (Frank). He will be sadly missed by family and friends in Croatia, USA and Canada. Slavko came to Kirkland Lake in 1957 to live with his aunt and uncle, John and Barbara Danicic, where he met his wife Barbara. He was a longtime retired employee of Firestone where he worked for 28 years. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Wednesday, March, 14, 2012 at 9:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Holy Cross Church or a charity of your choice.
