On Tuesday June 21, 2016, our Mom, Theresa Della Vella, a resident of St Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, Ontario passed away at the age of 98. She was born in Sydney (Whitney Pier) where she and her husband Norman raised their family-Richard, Joan and Martin. Eventually she moved to Hamilton to spend her remaining days with her daughter Joan. Prior to her move to Hamilton, she was predeceased by her husband Norman and her eldest son Martin.
She was born on February 11, 1918 and is survived by her remaining family, Joan and Richard, her brother Frank as well as six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, who will all miss her dearly.
Special thanks to the nursing staff of the Maple Grove wing at St Joseph’s Villa for the kindness, patience and care they provided to our Mom during her stay at the Villa.
Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass for our Mom will be celebrated at St Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, 200 Mount Albion Road, on July 7, 2016 at 11am.
