Passed away peacefully at Albright Manor, Beamsville Ontario at the age of 94 on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Michael Kolodka. Cherished mother of Olga (late Joe) and Michael (Teresa). Dear grandmother of David, Michelle, Sabrina (Richard), Kylie (Ryan), and Tyler. Proud great-grandmother of Emmerson, Griffin, and George. Missed by her sister-in-law Rosita as well as her nephews Paul (Ana) and Peter. Proud great-aunt of Angel. Grandma to her four-legged grandchild Norman. Predeceased by her loving parents Andre and Marta Polischuk and her brother Alexander.
Vala had a green thumb and could grow any kind of flowers in her beautiful garden. Her cooking and great food will be missed by everyone.
Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. with Prayers 5:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Cresmount Funeral Home chapel. Interment to follow at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery.
