Vera Fiscaletti

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vanda Vera Fiscaletti. With family by her side she died peacefully at St. Peters hospital on December 2nd in her 92nd year. An Italian immigrant who came to Canada for a better life she devoted every day to her children, grandchildren & family. Beloved wife to the late Mario Fiscaletti & mother to Ivo (Nancy) Fiscaletti, Bianca (Pietro) Garofalo & Iris (Sam) Grasso. She will be dearly missed by all her grandchildren Mauro (Katrina), Milena (Max), Giovanni (Natalie), Ivan (Jelena), Loren (Melanie), Mario (Julie), Rachel, Angela & Michael and great grandchildren Alyssa, Jakob, Vincent & Giulia. Cherished by her eldest sister Michela Testaguzza & predeceased sister Dea Carlevarese. Vera also leaves behind her dear sister & brother in-laws AnnaMaria & Adriano Spallacci and the late Mariannina & Giuliano Guidi & late Pierina & Secondo Fiscaletti and many loving nieces & nephews in Canada & Italia. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to nurse Maria who took great care of our mother & grandmother over the past few months and the doctors and nurses at both Henderson & St Peters Hospitals. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Thursday December 5th from 4pm-9pm. Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes parish on Friday December 6th at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart & Stoke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
