Violet Louise Morgan

Vi was a proud past member of Mensa, was involved with many Hamilton organizations such as: the Council on Aging; the Senior’s Advisory Committee, the Horizon Grant Committee; the Heat Advisory Committee, the Restore the Gore Committee to name a few. She served as the Chairman of the Board of Finance for Sackville Hill Senior’s Centre and taught the Knitting and Crochet classes there for many years. She was also very involved with the Gerontology Program at McMaster University and taught there as a Senior Advisor.

Survived by her children Karen (Terry) and David (Pamela), daughter in law Colleen, brother Larry (Helen), grandchildren Scott, Paul, Dylan, Meghan, Grayden, Caelin and Mackenzie. Predeceased by her spouse William Brown, son Wayne, sister Maisie Wilkinson, and parents Eileen and Harold Pearson.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke – Cedar Terrace for your exemplary care of a very feisty woman. Special mention to RSW Melanie, RN’s Blanka and Barb, PSW Hilda, and receptionist “you’re not the boss of me” Brenda.
