Mr. William "Bob" Robert Monkhouse

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of William Robert Monkhouse, 65, on July 30, 2010. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Ellen Margaret Monkhouse (nee Sheppard) of 41 years. He will be forever missed by his children Margaret Jo-anne (Jodee) Monkhouse and Jason Robert (Jay) Monkhouse. He will be dearly missed by Doug, Darlene and Darci Sheppard and Mary Blanchard. He holds a special place in his heart for his other daughter, Angela. He treasured his time getting to know Nicole Fraser. Bob is survived by his mother, Edna Monkhouse and sisters, Sue Anderson, Judee Mattson, Nancy Gorven their families and by many cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Wm. Monkhouse and in-laws John and Margaret Sheppard. He will be forever missed by his extensive Cottage, sail racing and skiing families. To have Bob’s love is to have shared him with many people. He was a retired employee of Stelco Hilton Works for 40 years of service. Special thanks to Dr. D. Hunt and Dr. M.P. Rathbone, the outstanding nursing and support staff of Ward A3, Express Unit and Emergency of Henderson Hospital. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME 322 Fennell Ave East on Wednesday, August 4 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral service will be held in the chapel August 5, at 11am. Cremation to follow. The family would appreciate expressions of sympathy made to Heart & Stroke Foundation.
