(December 9, 1941 – September 16, 2025)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill in his 84th year after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Eleanor for 61 years. Loving father of Alayna. Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Matthew and Sarah Valters. He is survived by his sisters Kathleen Cruickshanks and Roberta Jackson (Dennis). He is predeceased by his son Robert and brother Michael. He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, and an extensive network of other family and friends. Bill was an employee of Procter and Gamble for 20 years and a contractor at Grantek Systems. He enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time at the cottage with his grandkids, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Longtime member of Lakemount Worship Centre. His love of the Lord was central to all aspects of his life and he will be spending eternity in God’s presence.
Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Sunday, September 21 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service at Lakemount Worship Centre, 54 North Service Road, Grimsby on Monday, September 22 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment at Sinclairville United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassion Canada, CityKidz, or a charity of your choice.
