Peacefully at Extendicare on December 30, 2015 in his 92nd year. Bill is now reunited with his beloved wife Josie of 67 years. Loving father to Bruce (Muriel), Diane Stonkus (Dave), Wendy and Keith (Christine). Cherished grandfather to Dawn Wallace (Trevor), Darryl (Sarah), Brandon, Erin Hunter (Bruce), Kyle, Lauren and Kaitlin and great grandfather to Blake and Mackenzie. He is survived by his sister Barbara (Keith) and predeceased by sister Irene (the late Bill) and brother Thomas (Jenny). A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Extendicare for their care and support. Bill was a retiree of Otis Elevator and was extremely active with the Hamilton District Soccer Assoc. and was an inaugural Inductee into the Hamilton Soccer Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Buchanan Lodge #550 where he served as past Grand Master. His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10 am in the chapel followed by interment in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
