Zlata Katy Podrebarac

After a courageous battle with cancer, in her 88th year, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zlata Podrebarac, on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Zlata leaves behind her loving husband, Imbro, of 64 years. Zlata will be reunited with her late sisters, Barica Kleminic, Maria Grguric and Anna Petrusic. Zlata has gone to be with her nephew the late Alojz Grguric, survived by his wife Marica and their family, niece Ljubica Jivicic and family, and nephew Franjo Petrusic and family, and many other relatives in Canada and Croatia. A special thank you the the wonderful staff at Orchard Terrace Care Centre Retirement Home for their kindness and compassion. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth Ave.) on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Holy Cross Croatian Church on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
