Dee was born in Jay, Maine, the daughter of the late Luca and Theresa (Cheli) Ercolini, and graduated in 1954 from Jay High School. Dee married the love of her life Reg Berube in 1957.
Dee will be remembered as a longtime volunteer, dedicated Mother and Wife. Some of her volunteering included her Church, H.E.L.P., feeding the homeless, and a Red Cross volunteer at Langley AFB Dental Clinic. As a Red Cross volunteer, Dee donated gallons of blood. She was also a receptionist at the Eye, Ear and Throat Clinic, and a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She also was a baker at Syms Middle School for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies of the Elks BPOE 366. Dee's passion was to be in the kitchen, cooking and baking for family, friends and anyone in need. She especially loved to bake during the Christmas Season, producing as many as sixty to seventy trays of cookies and treats for family and friends who eagerly awaited them every year.
She is survived by her husband J.R. Reginald (Reg) Berube; sisters Anita (Ercolini) McDonald, Angelina (Ercolini) Melcher and their spouses Olin McDonald and Edward Melcher; one aunt Jean Breton; her daughters Cindy (Berube) Fischler and husband Tony, and Jody (Berube) Williams and husband Mike; sons Bruce Berube and wife Terri, Timothy Berube and wife Candis; eight grandchildren Dr. Tracy (Fischler) Graham and husband Jason, Danielle Fischler, RN, Amanda Fischler, Cody Williams, Thomas Williams, Aubrey Berube, Brandon Berube, and Taylor Nickens; one great-grandchild Owen Graham; and beloved puppy, Daisey.
