

In 1991 he retired after 50 years as a self-employed painter. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in rest is his wife, Joyce Mae Holland; two daughters, Rita Gay Holland and Wanda Sue Holland; mother, Grace Frizzell; brother, Howard Holland; and sisters, Bernice Gribble and Bert Chestney. Surviving members of his family include his 4 sons, Fred Holland, Jr. (Wanda), Joe Holland (Jennifer), Ron Holland (Karen) and David Holland (Amy); 5 daughters, Diane Wood (Dennis), Theresa “Tee” Matthews (Ric), Jane Finney (John), Anita James (David), and Debbie Oliver (Jeff); 21 grandchildren, Cindy, Christy, Karen, Donna, Howard, Evan, Denise, Casey, Ashlee, Tyler, Terrah, Jay, Sarah, Greg, Derek, Britni, Christopher, Michael, Tina, Elizabeth, and Zachery; 18 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Johnny, Danylle, Jessie, Jamie, Lathan, Carson, Kayla, Alexis, Austin, Mikayla, Paisley, Porter, Ellerie, Makayla, Mason, Aiden, and Audrey; great great-granddaughter, Chloe; 3 sisters, Julia Mae Bell, Dorothy Butler and Annie Queen.
A private graveside service for family and relatives will be held with Ron Holland officiating. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
