

He was the owner of Thompson Ford in Hampton and retired in 1996. He was a U. S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. Hobbies and interests included being an avid golfer, enjoying tennis, gardening and taking care of his yard.
Preceding him in rest is his first wife, Janie Lou Thompson Mizelle; parents, Curfew and Eva Mizelle; brother, Charles Mizelle; and step-son, Stanley G. Coon. Surviving members of his family include his wife of sixteen years, Rosena L. Coon Mizelle; daughters, Katrina M. Daughtry and husband Tony of Lawrenceville, GA, and Donna M. Caldwell and husband Randy of Yorktown; step-children, Debbie Starling, Donna Siviter, Steve Coon, Kenny Coon, and Norman Coon; grandchildren, Tim Daughtry and wife Alison, Tyler Daughtry, and Kasey Caldwell; seventeen step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Rose Hughes, Kathy Gibson, and Beulah Jernigan; brothers, Sherman Mizelle, and Douglas Mizelle; brother-in-law, Norman Litteral and wife Jenky; and beloved K9 companions, Boggie and Missy.
A service remembering his life will be held Thursday afternoon, April 17 at 3:00 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
