He was owner and operator of Jim’s Upholstery Shop. His work was legendary. He also had a passion for restoring classic cars.
Jimmy was preceded in rest by his wife, Lela Thomas; parents, James S. and Hallie I. Thomas.
He is survived by his companion of 18 years, Jeanette Harris and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his daughter, Kelley Daniels (Steven, Jr.) five grandchildren; brothers, Eddie (Karen), Randy, Billy, Barry; sisters, Dorothy Hinshaw (KD), Juanita Maston (Wayne), Cindy Maston (Gene); Numerous Nieces and Nephews and extended family; and the son he never had – Chris Bloxom.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
