

Gary served honorably in the U.S. Marines, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, and retired as Sergeant. He later became a carpenter.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Catherine Fetter; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Calvin; and nephew, Johnny. He is survived by his wife of 3 years, Sandra Gaar Fetter; sons, Gary Fetter, Jr. and Zachary Pittman, and Rev. Father Enoch (Gavin Fetter); daughters, Jennifer Fetter-Norman and husband, Derrick; grandchildren, Jackson D. Norman and Jasper D. Fetter; brothers, Harry, Wayne and Gene Fetter; and sister, Faye Williams.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of Gary's life to begin at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
