Gayle Louise Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2018 following a brief Illness. She was born December 1, 1951 in Fredericksburg, Virginia to Harry A. and Margaret N. Mansfield. The family returned to Hampton in 1955, where she lived until present time. After Hampton High School graduation, she worked as an Administrative Assistant at NASA Langley Research Center and later at Fort Monroe.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Joyce M. Wright of Poquoson; step-nephews, David A. Wright of Solomon Island, Maryland, and Richard A. Wright of Alexandria, Virginia; and her fur babies, Fanny, Baby Puss, and Itsy Bitsy. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Howard T. Wright; and nephew, Frank F. Gray.
The family invites her friends to a visitation Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Virginia 23666.
