

George Elliot Baisley, 88, a Korean War Veteran, passed away on December 15, 2016, with his wife and children at his bedside. George loved God and country, people, and his family most of all. He was a faithful Presbyterian and served several times as a deacon.
George loved travel and he and his wife traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad, during and after his 24 years of service with the U.S. Air Force. He also loved singing and sang with men’s choruses, church choirs and most recently with The Swinging Singers, a senior-adult choral group.
George was preceded in death by one son, Charles Myron. He is survived by Sally, his wife of 63 years; his children, Alan and wife Debra, Sheryl Senter and husband Hubert, and Christina Tutterow and husband Robin; grandchildren, Ian and Harrison Senter, and Katrina Willis; and great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Breana, Josiah and Phillip Willis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of George’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 20, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
